So today i was playing TF2 go figure?
And i decided to raise my resolution after seeing that mine looked like uder shit compared to my guitartist on his amazingly huge monitor, regardless as i went from Normal 4:3 (800x1260?) to High 16:10 widescreen i noticed i couldnt play the same everything felt compressed. has any one every felt like a worse player after changing there resolution? Converse! |

If you're playing on a non-widescreen monitor and you change it to a screen ratio besides 4:3, you will get distortion, I believe. Experiment with the resolutions found when ratio is set to 4:3.
Also, experiment with the Field of View setting in Video Advanced. Setting to 90 will yield slightly more visibility. I highly recommend doing this. |

I always set FoV as high as possible. Just don't do it with Warsow, anything above 130 fucks the screen up.

1600 x 1080 FOV 90 deg. Plays fine, though I wish I had more power. Turning down my settings would prolly help, but meh. I'm a casual gamer and enjoy things looking all right even if I don't get the best FPS ever.

1024x768 and with dxlevel 70. I only get 50-60 fps so every time I play it takes me 5-10 minutes to become used to mouse control. Also 90 fov or your at a huge disadvantage.

I switched my FOV to 90 the other day after reading this thread and I like it. My rockets seem to be connecting more often, although I'm not sure how much is placebo. I also switched to minimal HUD whilst looking through the options and I like that too.

Wait, you mean a bunch of you had the default FOV on? I'd never play less than 90 on any FPS if I can, and may take 100, though you start getting into fisheye range above that.
