This thread is to see if we can't organize a community made level for little big planet. I don't know how many of you have it but if you do and want to sign up to help make a level respond to this thread and say which level you want to make. I don't know exactly how it works but I think that we can split up the work where some of us work on objects and some of us work on level design and somehow share. So if you know more about that post that too.
Here are the levels I'm interested in making: Half-Life themed TF2 themed Iron Man themed (jetpacks are awesome) I haven't made it through everything yet but I had some ideas. I wanted to create a vehicle that shoots impact mines and make headcrab zombies and stuff for the HL level. For the TF2 level we can make a section for each class that you have to defeat. For Iron Man it would just be a big jetpack level. |

Is there something comparable to a bullet? Because a TF2 level could be fun. The demo section will have you dodging impact mines. The pyro section would be a fire based challenge. The engineer will have some sort of sentry machine. The scout section could be a race and you have to bonk him on the head or something. The sniper could be some sort of machine that you have to aim properly or maybe a catapault you have to use to launch yourself at the sniper. Maybe the heavy part could have to do with moving a sandwich to him. I dunno what to do for the spy or the medic. The soldier would be something to do with rockets obviously.

I think you make an emitter that spawns an object that has an invisible magnetic key attached to it. Then make an object out of dissolve material and attach a magnetic switch to it. Then set the radius so that the objects have to pretty much meet to trigger. You could also substitute explosives for the dissolve material for a more satisfying death. I just beat the game, the last few levels are incredible. I'm trying to map out my level now and collect the rest of the stuff.

I've seen a Destructoid post about how a lot of levels are getting deleted because they contain "content" from other games. You might want to be careful.

[/quote] Actual buildings, the way I'm planning it is you go up a fire escape then jump across some buildings then a big blimp appears and you have to jump on and battle some people. Maybe Nazis. Or Nazi zombies. Then after you defeat the blimp you will have to battle some alien robots. Maybe in a cornfield. Oh yea and then maybe get strafed by a plane like North by Northwest. I'm still working out the plans. |
