Oh yeah, there is the fact the game is terrible.  But every time I get into argument with some 3-year old or redneck, I figure it builds a little character.

The difference is though, of those people they were trying to get them to subscribe to XBL, they already own Halo 3, when valve does a free weekend you can play TF2 if you don't own it.

It would be like if MS allowed people to download Halo 3 *and* play, different approaches for selling different things

As if Windows' gaming franchise would ever do anything close to be as awesome as what VALVE does.

at 50 dollars a year, 2 days free for only Halo 3

someone can crunch out their calculator cause i dont care

dont even get me started on the fact that Live is too ignorant to run game servers..

as far as im concerned the halo series died when halo 1 hit big and bungie let it all go to their heads.


and to clarify, im a big fan of the Halo STORY.
i played through the last two games because i had hope. that was crushed..

Yeah. Chances are if someone still owns Halo 3 they already have the Gold membership to play it online.

There was a huge banner on "Xbox Insider" and most gaming websites put it on their front page
