Does anyone know sign language? - zaneyard - 12-01-2009

i'm trying to exchange my phone for a new one
and my provider (sprintrelay) is a service for the deaf and hard of hearing
no where does it say you have to be deaf though
so i figured i would drop my voice plan cause i hardly ever use it and just go to the 30 dollar unlimited data plan
and now the service person is trying to get me to do a video call to "talk" about the exchange...
i'm not sure what to do here, if i should just tell her i don't know sign language or tell her that i the times she has available aren't convenient?

anyone wanna help me out with some insight here?

Just tell her you're insulted by the request and say you can't sign but you can lipread if she speaks out loud. Type your responses.

idk i searched for data only plan on google

i didn't realize it was for deaf people until they sent me some of the stuff with the phone.

Legit response: Say your "hard of hearing". Somebody said to try to pull of lip reading if he/she talks loudly. If shit goes down say that lip reading is your preferred way of communication even if its not the easiest way.

Has anyone stopped to notice she wants to do sign language threw skype yet the internet has text that would be much easier to use? Maybe she wants more then to just help him  Wink
