The mother 3 translation/hack is finally done, he just needs to do some testing, which I HOPE TAKES LESS TIME than he says it will, failing that someone leaks it...

Now, this obviously means that Nintendo is going to release the translation they've had done since the game came out within the next month.

I've made sure not to really see or read anything about the game, so it'll be totally new to me when it's done. Also I think they said about a month of checking from when it was "done", so hopefully a Halloween release or so.

No, you can still appreciate and enjoy the (amazing) story with out the prior reference, but there are some parts, that anyone could understand, but those who have played Earthbound will get a special enjoyment out of. So I recommend you play through it.
Plus Earthbound is an amazing game as well
