How about if I start Earthbound by then?

Actually... even that'll be a stretch...

Hoping it runs on PSP alright.  Would prefer to run it on the DS, but don't have a Slot 2 solution...

Actually my old standard def TV has component for some reason, and it's right next to me, so I can hook it up to my computer.  I wouldn't want to play the game on a HDTV or a computer monitor, because I want to avoid upscaling as much as possible.  On my TV hopefully I can get it to look like an SNES game at least.

Just going to play it on my DS.

The GBA PSP emulator I tried runs things very slowly at best, I'm trying to find one that Mother 3 works on

If you use the HDTV as a moniter you can set the resolution using your computer, you can still have it be a 4:3 ratio and like 640x480

But won't an HDTV look like crap at that resolution?  Running old sprite based games on SDTV's is the best, because you get the "natural" anti-aliasing from the subtle blurriness of the screen, that looks way better than any stupid sprite filters.  And running the games with no filters on an HD output looks bad too, because if it's perfectly sharp things feel too jagged to me.  GBA games look decent because the screen is so small, but I think they always look like crap at a larger size (and I used to have that GBA adapter for the GC).  I've never tried running a GBA game on a TV, but I'm hoping it'll work like SNES games do.

Yeah, NES and SNES games also look fine on my HDTV. When I was shopping for it I heard that a lot, and actually brought my SNES around to the stores to hook into a tv for testing. None of the ones I tried it on looked bad... maybe they improved the technology.

Umm, this is just my opinion, but  I personally think it looks best on a laptop with the Visual Boy Advance's resolution scaled two x2, plus that way it's portable just like the original :3

Re: Its Done...(Not out until testing finished though) - Squishy3 - 10-16-2008

Damn I’m tired. I finished putting demi’s lines in and testing them to make sure I didn’t break anything. Jeff and I did see one last-minute bug with a naming screen, scared the crap out of us but turned out to be a one byte fix.

For those waiting until midnight or whatever, it’s not going to happen at a specific time like that, it’s just gonna go up when it does. It’ll be out in the next 24-48 hours, but most likely earlier rather than later. People asking if they should go out and play with their friends or sit here and refresh the page and wait… wtf, the patch is still going to be here, so go do stuff! That’s crazy.

YAY DEFINITELY CONFIRMED FOR TOMORROW
