When I first bought TF2 (a few days after it was released) I mainly played on random servers with a few of my friends (some of you may remember we had the matching derp icons). One day I realized that I had added brb#1 to my favorites list--I'm guessing I joined, noticed that people were talkative and friendly, and added it. I did that with a few servers. I "acquired" the password for FNF and was instantly hooked. Sadly, I stopped playing with my old friends about the time I registered here for unrelated reasons. Since then, brb's been my primary home. It's a great place to play--it's just too bad I usually only see people online from 5-11CST.
Well don't that beat all. |

I would totally love to be in there during the day but I just can't. I'm sure many others are facing the same issue; school.

If any of you older members remember Snafoo he's a good friend of mine irl
He showed me the way to BRBU and the server was great Also i was playing ONLY 2FORT SERVERS before i found BRBU I was very new  Sticks and stones may break my bones (but -1s hurt forever ;_

Let's see... I joined Dtoid back in April of '07 and Rev Ant's posts about TF2 are what got me interested in the game. I got the Orange Box a week or two after it was released and started playing on Caff's Dtoid TF2 FNF server. I didn't play many online games except MMOs back then so I was a little nervous the first time I played TF2 online. To my surprise, nobody yelled at me for sucking and everybody seem pretty nice. I followed Caff and the rest of the other oldfags when they started BRBU (obviously not called that at the time), although I still read and am an active member of Dtoid to this day. I've been hanging out here, mostly on the forums and IRC these days, ever since.
