So a day or two ago, I got a headset. The first day it worked with no problems. The next day when the autorun message popped up i hit don't show the message again. Since then the microphone has not worked. Does anyone know how to I can get it to work?
If it makes a difference, I have a Dynex stereo headset with removable boom microphone. link to product info:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...ku=8525688 |

I don't understand why you would need to deal with an "autorun" message to get a headset to work, even a USB set. I could be wrong.
Have you checked the volume for Microphone under Recording Devices yet to make sure he's still the audio source Windows will listen to? Does it have a "Mic Boost" you can turn on? |

I'm pretty sure i don't need the autorun, but that is when the problems started. So i figured I'd put that part in because i am not very good with computers.
In the recording devices it says that "microphone/line in" is working. Also, it does have a mic boost. |

had you seen the autorun previous to installing the new headphones?
what did you select before you checked 'do not show again'? "If you want to be a Double E, bend over and grab your knees...." "Atom is Sexy!" <-- Donate your own pic to the cause! Victory needs no explanation. Defeat allows none. -Sun Tzu |
