You have inferno, penetrator rounds, concussion rounds, and Disruptor rounds. You use them like you would a skill, and for a whole clip in your gun you fire these rounds.

Inferno rounds set someone on fire and do damage over time, not only that but they're a mild crowd control. Organic enemies will roll around and pat themselves down to put the fire out- and not be shooting at you.

Penetrator rounds go right through heavy armor. Really fucks up heavily armored enemies.

Concussion shot knockback and knockdown.

Disruptor Rounds* tear through shields I believe. Admittedly I didn't use them in the demo.

I believe the Soldier's special ability actually is Adrenaline Rush. I read somewhere that you could use it, and it would slow down time now instead of resetting cooldowns. After all- cooldowns are a lot shorter now.

Whenever I hear about how great voice acting is supposed to be in a game, I'm reminding of what a big deal people made of oblivion, and how shoddy it actually turned out to be  :-X

[/quote]Oblivion's voice acting isn't bad. The 4 voice actors or whatever are actually good. Mass Effect's voice acting is excellent though. I do like that they went to the trouble of giving the main character a voice so he isn't a silent protagonist like usual in Bioware games.

What classes do you guys play as? I’m looking forward to more viable class options in ME2, as tech and biotic (tech particularly) couldn’t really compete with just a straight assault character (for veteran and up playthroughs).

Already pre-ordered ME2 (for 360, since that's where I have 2 lvl 60 characters I wanted to continue) for $62 ($12 after using a giftcard) shipped on release date.  8)

That's my class right now. It's definitely a challenge considering I only bring bionics and techies with me. I usually find myself either sniping or pistol whipping bitches.
