I agree, it just didn't play that well. I think the elevator w/ music at the final points was the biggest draws. Tongue

I'm going to see Clone Wars, but I will probably hate myself afterwards for having done so.

Update: I do hate myself, but I hate George Lucas even more.

My Girlfriend is a big fan of Star Wars, and she wanted to see this movie with me. She's been complaining that it is maybe too Kid-friendly.

Is it worth a try? Does it shows some story or it is just another excuse to see explotions and lightsabers?

I'm actually a huge Star Wars fan (well, the original ones, anyway), and this one was just really annoying; I suppose that's the best way to put it.  The battle scenes are quite good, and the animation is impressive, but the new character they introduce is just a constant flood of irritation, always spouting off mindless one-liners and generally coming across as utterly pointless.  I'd say if she's a big fan, she should see it and judge for herself, but if she had issues with the more recent movies, this will only serve to magnify them...

Just stick to the novels like I do, Heir to the Empire trilogy with Thrawn = win

Agreed.  I was a huge fan up until the big Yuuzhan Vong storyline.

Even then, some in the series are not all that great... and I think its gone way too far. Up at around the time of the Jedi Academy and the younger generation taking over, I had had enough.

Don't forget Spectre of the Past/Vision of the future.  Only second in my opinion next to the original zahn books.  <3 Talon Karrde and Pellaeon.  But yeah, I stopped reading as soon as they started the New Jedi Order series.  Couldn't get through vetor prime, much less the rest.  But yeah, the 5 thrawn books and the X-Wing (Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron) books were def my favs.

*edit*

Also, on topic, how did pl_hoodoo play?

<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills
<@Negate> 12121212121212121212
<@Negate> there is a simple pattern
<+Karrde> I changed my mind.  Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD
<+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself
<+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some.
