And it's not that I'm too young, it's one of those things that never comes, like me taking my driver's test, or me getting my room painted. I've talked about it, but nothing ever happens. I'll pay 1000 dollars for something that costs 500? The credit card could take another year to actually happen, how would I go about finding a store that has these parts? What stores would hold these? Blue Crew.....I got nothing flashy set up.

Well, look at it this way. There is no store that won't overcharge you for computer parts. It's almost 50% cheaper for nearly every part to buy off the internet.
An internet $1200 would cost you up to $2600 in a store. |

The only tools needed are your hands and a screwdriver, though some basic intuition and a rudimentary ability to read diagrams do come in handy. If you lack the latter to, don't worry: you're friendly, bored, e-peen stroking buddies here in the Computer section will be more than willing to walk you through any issue or question that comes up. |

Just make sure they're reliable and they aren't overcharging. but it really isn't that hard. Physically breaking a video card is much harder than frying it on accident. Just make sure to take precautions and you won't have a problem. How to install a graphics card basically like this but making sure everything is grounded and that you've discharged your body of electricity. You can do that by touching the metal sides of a case or wearing rubber gloves. It literally is nothing more than pushing a lego into place. |

Trust me, you really do figure out how stuff works and how it all fits together once you get over the initial "ZOMG SO MANY BOXES AND STUFF" phase. Edit: Don't have someone else build it for you... How else will you get over your techtardation? |

Is there any standard caution? besides the fact I can break something just by touching it, and sitting on a shag carpet?
