How to make friends fast

idle'd in a server last night that only allowed spec (if u joined a team it kicked you).  got 3 things but more importantly finally got my 1st cloak and dagger... Though for 6 hours of time logged into the server I only got 3-5 items, so maybe there is something to actually have + points etc.  regardless it's a stupid system and will be until it's finished (unique drops and trading). 

No, I played for 3.5 hours last night including TFT, was #1 - #3 on my team consistently and got only one drop, a set of boxing gloves, having a good score means absolutely nothing

I just don't get why they don't have both. Milestone and Random unlocks would work great, if you want to you can play specially to get them, or you can just play as you would and potentially pick them up while doing so. It would solve everything.

I was seriously considering idling on a server while I'm in Vermont, but instead I set up a bajillion torrents.  (also still in vermont)
