I did play the other maps.  The CTF one had potential.  Dustbowl is... well... dustbowl.

OMG, I think vilepickle was the one that kept shootin my sentries. 

The map was by far the best one we played though.  I want beta 3 and possible rotation.

Also we need to clean up the nomination list.

Rotation stands at 8 custom (I still count turbine despite the distribution) and 4 stock. 2 CP Dustbowl Attack/Defend, 4 Linear CP, 5 CTF, and 1 PL make up the game-type mix.

If you want to alter the rotation an Dustbowl A/D style, Gravelpit A/D or PL map would probably be best such as mof_a5, roswell, or corporation. Freight might also be a good choice.

No, that was depot, which is unfortunate because the guy made it just one gianormous open area he cant do much about it. Freight_b3 is from the maker of cp_steel, the one with all the trains from last week that you could jump onto and ride. I don't think you were there duck.

I had a great time tonight. Didn't care for some of the maps as much but of course that is all part of the fun... figuring that out.

Touched the medic class for the first time... I have a new love.

Scorpion looks like it would be great for pickups, horrible for pub play. Some of you played npire recently, idk how it was, but it sounded like it wasn't too bad. Also, corporation is *supposed* to be good, but I've never played it either. I need to start showing up for more TFT/FNF's Sad.

To respond to surf

Orange maps have their own appeal, the past 3 days we're used them to seed the server. They have their own audience and some people find them fun.

Convoy we've rtv'd to, its a love/hate map, just depends on the crowd at the time.

Epicenter is the same deal as convoy, and I don't think its that hard to figure out

Cave_b2 - could consider removing this one

Dbheights - I think its fine, again love/hate kind of thing, and considering the lack of pl maps, it stays

meelee_ringking - gets rtv'd to sometimes later at night

I do agree with wedge though that the list should be cleaned up a bit.  I would have suggested roswell because it doesn't seem very popular but I like it =(.

If anything I want to take more stock off rotation and try to move toward experimenting with a 100% custom rotation. I've found that recently its much better when you seed with a custom map like mach4 or orange_x4 as opposed to 2fort/goldrush/dustbowl. Because on #1 at least as soon as that map is over its probably going to change to a custom and all those scrubs that joined immediately leave.

That's not a bad idea, it's gotten to the point where there are plenty of customs that are as good or better than the stock maps.  Plus there will be one server for customs one for stock and hopefully we can transition the cool pub scrubs on #2 to seasoned BRBUers on #1  ;D
