The thing is my PC's not good enough to handle a lot of games, a lot of them just take up too much space. So I gotta pick and choose until I can scrape up the cash for a new PC. But I'm from Maine, good ol' New England kid. Not in college just yet but I was thinking about being an English teacher. I don't really want to be, but y'know. I was a spotlight operator for summer stock with a guy I knew, so I had to watch Beauty and the Beast and Thoroughly Modern Millie until I threw up. But the guy Millie's wooing is her boss, Trevor Graydon The Third. Yep. |

[/quote] If you're in high school and planning to try to teach English even though it's not really your cup of nicedick, take a look around and see if you can find scholarships that'll pay you to study, then teach on a repayment schedule, like: hey, we'll give you $30,000 if you agree to teach for four years after you graduate. You do not want to pay real money to get into education. Myself, I got North Carolina's version of it, the Teaching Fellows. Many states with shortages of educators have the same types of programs. Major in English, maybe with a concentration in Education. As long as that qualifies you to teach in Maine. At least, then, if you decide it's not for you, you have a degree that can kind of work elsewhere, and you've gotten through school almost for free. My two cents. Also, welcome! |

See, I'm out of high school now and, for some reason, I was all "pff applying to college and applying for scholarships? NO THANKS, BUDDY I'M A REAL MAN" but now I realize I should have done that. But I should just go to school anyway. Thanks for the insight, though. Do you teach English or something else? |

Healthcare and primary/secondary (~elementary/high) school free and further education is cheap! That is only in my province... Ontarians have to pay a lot more, but less than Americans anyways. Some countries even have university free. [move][glow=black,2,300] Vote Benito 2012  [/glow]                             ï@.[/move] |

There's a reason why all of the top engineering and business schools in the world are in the US, I'll give you a hint, its because they get more money for facilities/professors. Â Sig by Joel |
