I'll upgrade to 64-bit Vista the moment a really good game comes out that requires it, and not before.

My biggest problem with vista is that old games simply have a tendency to not work, especially the sound and player files. I've so far encountered bugs or issues with:
Max Payne 1 & 2 (both really surprisingly good games IMO)
Worms Armaggeddon
Deus Ex
Starcraft
System Shock 2

Heck, even some games that aren't even that old have bad problems with Vista because of formats.(Max Payne 2  specifically)

If your willing to get around the issue of everything being rearranged, renamed, changed entirely and the exclusion of older games, Vista should work fine with most modern games. Drivers have apparently been a bit glitchy though.

So as an answer, Vista should be up for any modern or new games out, but definently not made for older games.

I have not had a single problem with vista.  SO basically it is your fault if somethings messed up.

Not entirely true, we've been handily lied to about the readiness of some drivers, in particular some Nvidia drivers and especially Sound Blaster.

I use a lot of RAM in my penis

I would call Vista the 'bridge' OS between 32 and a 64 bit, i fully expect the next one they make to be only 64 bit. and everyone that's dragged their heels on updating drivers , software, hardware since XP 64 can go fuck themselves

from my perspective MS has been too lenient in the 32 to 64 bit transition.

If it was 64bit only it would probably run better. FORCE THE CHANGE GOD DAMNIT

Oh by the by, I berieve they confirmed Windows 7 is still going to have a 32-bit version. =X

This extends to all sorts of shit in Vista as a whole, and while a majority of the time it is user-end, there are still plenty of times where something is just completely screwed for someone who will never get help with it...

The irony of this made me lol so hard I actually drooled soda on myself as I read it. Applauded because I can't tell if this was serious or sarcasm, but either way it was hilarious.
