This community needs to shut up.

play tf2, if you dont like playing tf2, don't. Its not an issue, no one will be missed since your on the forums/IRC anyway.
I only play PS with BRB'u nowadays but i dont publicly bitch about it

There's both no need to act like this and tell people to stfu, but conversely there is no reason to attempt to 'force' people to play something else as well. More games will come naturally over time if people become interested in them. You don't get a multiplayer game like TF2 coming out every year, or two years even.

If you anyone wants to start or organize something specifically you are free to start a thread to do so, be it CSS, CS, a source mod, CoD4, ect.

Pick a game you like, choose a time that you think would be good for people and go play. If enough people start playing it we'll consider adding a server. PS Saturdays started with like 5 people, and its taken months to get up to about 15 people or so on Saturdays, Rome wasn't built in a day.

For now I am not going to lock this thread, but if people continue to have a negative attitude I will  :-*

It was poorly worded and set up, no offense to Karth, Ill set up something more comprehensive and with different options on later today. I see it more as, say you Fyre, like CoD: World at War, you start a thread specifically for it to gauge interest, you set up a night, get people on vent and promote it that way.

Yeah, you should do that. Cuz....polls are fun. The thing is, I'd be willing to give any of the recent batch of MP shooters a try, I'd just like to know what other people want to play, if anything.

I don't think there has not been at least some discussion about every major release (or mod) in the 10 months of existence.

Each mod/game has a different lifepsan. Left4Dead lasted 2 months. The Ship lasted several months. PVK came and went. Warsow lasted 2 weeks.

TF2 was great, but is old/stale/ in decline. There is no replacement on the horizon that will allow 25-30 people to have a blast week after week for 18 months, and no amount of voting will change that.

I'm personally not burnt out on TF2 yet though it's clear that some people are.  I don't think there's anything wrong with starting up a server for another game like CoD (though my jank-ass rig can't really handle it too well... i'll be getting a new one at some point).  As I have mentioned elsewhere, I like the BF series, particularly 2142 (yes, I know I'm an anomaly).  I could definitely see a big BF2 or BF2142 server filled to the brim with squads of BRBu members as majorly fun.  That's not to say that we should retreat completely from TF2- leave a server or two up for that, and maybe alternating between a few games will keep all of them from getting stale. 

As for expanding the community, I know I'm not a veteran like some of you guys, but I think there's nothing wrong will allowing the community to expand gradually especially if everyone's gonna be so busy that the same 24 of us will never be online any given tuesday or friday.  I mean, we don't need to go out and recruit or anything, but make sure new regulars on the servers know about the forum and the irc, and what we're up to.

tl;dr: TF2 + other games= win.  I liek battlefield.  Let n00bs come, cuz everyone is busy so we can get a little bigger.

A BF2 group would be good times indeed. Especially since it's an older game that would run decently enough for people who can't afford new parts, etc. Plus it's only $10.
