Sadly I get the feeling that they are trying to make it serious, when dragonball was meant to be a comedy

Dragonball was supposed to be a light hearted comedy adventure. Dragonball Z was supposed to be a SUPER XTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEME ULTIMATE FIGHT, and that's what they'll try to do, cheesy 80s effects and all.

I just watched the trailer, and I am glad I don't care about Dragonball anymore. They seem to have changed literally everything about the story that I can remember.

Well, if Roshi is as perverted as he is in the anime I could see it at least being entertaining. The comedy relief was definitely the high point of the Dragonball series. ^_^
