Go green, use Squirrels

Seriously though, the new token rules just made the Squirrel/any token deck have a huge advantage against some certain decks with blue

What new token rule.

Tokens are owned by the player who it came under control to.

Token decks are fun to play against. Just pull out Netherborn Phalanx and turn the army into their death.

Read again. My wording is different.

If a player gives you a token, that's your token, not his. That's how it works under the new rules.

I'm not sure how this changes for squirrel token decks though. I just know I'm not running one.

Green / Red, I seem to remember a ton of cards that do 1 damage to all creatures in play and that player takes X damage for each creature killed this way. Give opponent 20 squirrels > Play that > ??? > Profit

[/quote]So the first controller == owner. OK, but what difference does that make? I can't think of any cards that hinge their usability on ownership over control, plus most token decks don't give their opponents tokens, they generate them for themselves (so first controller would be the casting player anyways) so I still don't follow your logic.

I stopped playing shortly after 4th edition, I recall snow-covered lands being new.

I played a White/Green defensive deck using a ton of +1/+2 Fortified Walls and something simlilar out of Green, used massive amounts of first strike critters. I prett much smashed red/black/blue.

I've always been a Black/Blue player myself, I think mainly because that combo deck is the epitome of card gaming rage for your opponents, between the control and some of the straight stupid shit that black presents.
