Started playing this again because Dead Space 2 was announced, just as fantastic the second time as the first.

I got it cheap for the PC back when Circuit City was in its death throes. Haven't really played it much though. Played for a few minutes, got stuck, and then my mind wandered off elsewhere lol I'll have to get to playing it fully this coming year since I guess the second one will fix issues the first had such as mindless tasks, poor weapons choices, and a few other things.

Finally just finished the last two chapters. Although the game was really well made and a ton of fun I was upset that the only part that made me jump was the very end. That seems to be how horror games are for me now, Fear 2 didn't even make me jump once. Really sucks when that's the main reason I play these games :'(

NECRO BUMP
Played this recently. It was alright, atmosphere and graphics were really really good. I was disappointed in how...um, linear the game felt. I was expecting this to be more like bioshock and Resident Evil 4, but it was like a Horror Third Person Shooter. Also I think I jumped a total of 3 or 4 times throughout the 10-hour campaign. |

I loved this on PC.
The first time I played it. But then I went to play through again, and the replay value sucks, you know exactly when and what is going to happen. If they could combine the AI director of Left 4 Dead with this game, I would probably literally shit bricks. I mean, the ride through the engine room in one of the earlier chapters, forget exactly which, with all the fog and noises, not knowing what will happen when you reach the other side, was one of the most atmospheric moments in any videogame I've played. But once you play it, and nothing is there, that part loses most of its shine.
