I'd just be happy if demos were more resistant to patches.  I understand a demo only records position, attitude and commands (as far as gameplay goes) and the game renders the demo using current rules so playback of older stuff would yield unexpected results, but why can't the game just render the demo using old rules / state?  Like, "Oh, I'm playing demo with version 2.02.A, I better use oldshitrules.dll instead of using currentrules.dll." 

Same crap with Starcraft.  Pisses me off.

reason why I dont play halo:

you run up shoot the living piss out of someone for about 45 seconds straight with a crappy machine gun whilst he does the same to you.  One of you FINALLY dies.  Then 2 seconds later the other dies because oh look a 2nd guy came along and started doing the same damn thing... fun!

in before "that's because you suck" (i know I do.. but it doesnt make me want to be good)
